Hillbrook Map & Directions

Hillbrook is located in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. Resting in the Blue Ridge Mountains, a physiographic province of the larger Appalachian Mountains range. One hour from D.C., the property was originaly surveyed and owned by George Washington.

During summer, it stays light until almost 9:00p.m. During winter, it gets dark about 4:30 or 5:00 p.m. This can be useful when planning your trip.

From Washington, DC

Take Route 495 (Beltway) to Route 270 North to Frederick, MD. Take 70 West to Route 340 West past Harpers Ferry to Charles Town, WV. Stay straight onto Route 51 West through the stoplights in Charles Town to the three-way stop sign as you exit the commercial district. At the stop sign bear left onto Route 13, Summit Point Road. The Inn is five miles ahead on the left just past South Jefferson Elementary School.

From Baltimore, MD

Take Route 70 West to Route 340 West past Harpers Ferry to Charles Town, WV. Stay straight onto Route 51 West through the stoplights in Charles Town to the three-way stop sign as you exit the commercial district. At the stop sign bear left onto Route 13, Summit Point Road. The Inn is five miles ahead on the left just past South Jefferson Elementary School.

From Northern Virginia

Take 7 West to the exit for Route 340 North, marked for Charles Town, WV. Follow 340 North about ¾ mile to Route 611 (Summit Point Rd.) and make a left. Take 611 about 5.5 miles to the first stop sign which is Route 13 (Summit Point Rd. as well). Go right at the stop sign one mile to the Inn on your right.

From Dulles Airport

Take the Greenway to Route 7 West and follow the directions immediately above.

From Route 81 South

Take Route 51 East through Inwood 5.5 miles to Leetown Road. Turn right on Leetown Road for 6.3 miles to the first stop sign (Route 13, Summit Point Road). Go left one mile to the Inn on the right.

From Route 81 North

Take Route 7 East to the Route 340 exit. Take 340 North toward Charles Town ¾ miles to Route 611, a left turn. Stay on Route 611 to the first stop sign, 5.5 miles (Route 13, Summit Point Road). Go right one mile to the Inn on your right.
