Are you open 7 days a week?
Yes, Hillbrook is opened Monday – Sundays. We offer full services Thursday – Sunday; including a two-course gourmet breakfast, lunches and dinners. Monday – Wednesday we offer a reduced room rate of $149.00 per night, which includes a continental breakfast in the room. There is no dining facility for reservations made Monday - Wednesday. There is always someone available to assist you during your stay at Hillbrook. If we need to make special arrangements for a guest it can be accommodated if requested in advance.
Will we have our own bathroom?
Yes, all guest rooms have private baths.
What size will our bed be?
All rooms have Queen or King size beds, please check our ROOMS & RATES page to see which room has the right bed for your needs.
Will there be a telephone in our room?

Will we have a Jacuzzi or whirlpool tub, or a hot tub?
We offer a two person whirlpool tub in the winter, spring, summer and fall cottage. In addition, the snuggery has a one person whirlpool tub with a hand-held shower. There is not “Jacuzzi” on the Hillbrook property.
Can we connect to the Internet from our room?
Yes, Hillbrook has internet access. At times it is difficult to get the signal in parts of the building and in the cottage due to the deep rock walls and architecture that sometimes interferes with the signal. However, guests can always receive access in the library if needed.
Will our room have air conditioning?
Yes, the cottage rooms all have their own air conditioning unit and thermostat. In the main house we have individual wall units in each room to make sure guests are comforatable.
Will an innkeeper help me develop an itinerary for my visit?
Yes, the Innkeeper and staff members can help you develop an itinerary for your visit. We are also happy to assist in making reservations and giving recommendations for guests. Please review our Concierge Page to gather a list of ideas.
When is Breakfast Served?
Breakfast is served from 8:30am – 10:00am Thursday – Sunday on the sun porch overlooking the extensive grounds. Guests that are racing at Summit Point Speedway are welcome to join us for an early breakfast as early as 7:00am. Please advise us when making reservation if this is something you would like us to accommodate.Quilters are schedule automatically for an 8:00am breakfast, giving them an opportunity to enjoy a nutritious breakfast before class begins.
Do you have TV in rooms?
We have TV’s in the winter, spring, summer and fall suites for guests to enjoy. However, in the main house we stay with the simple charm and do not provide TV in the interior of the house.
Are you pet friendly?
Hillbrook is pet friendly and offers the exterior rooms to guests with pets (winter, spring, summer, fall, snuggery and overlook). Hillbrook cannot accommodate pets inside the main house due to the restaurant.
Do guests eat breakfast as a group?
Guests are welcome to come to breakfast from 8:30 am – 10:00 am and are not seated as a group. You may choose a quant table for two. If you meet a wonderful couple or come with friends you are welcome to visit and sit at the same table. We want our guests to enjoy the experience and welcome an opportunity to meet new people to enhance your stay!
How far are you from Hiking/Biking/Rafting?
We are 12 miles from Harpers Ferry WV, where you can do all your outdoor activities. Go for a walk or bike ride on the C&O Canal, visit historic Harpers Ferry, join a group on a river ride or more.
